TDS NOW OFFICIALLY OPEN IN CEBU

On a clear, sunny day of September 8, 2009, TeleDevelopment Services, Inc. took the southern islands by storm, opening in Cebu City with a bang. The day started with more than 10 cars parading with banners and balloons all around Metro Cebu starting from the Bigfoot Center at F. Ramos Street ending at Gaisano Country Mall Parking Lot where the call center jobs funfair was going on. More than 500 applicants came to job funfair from 9am to 3pm which was officially opened with a ribbon-cutting by Jon Kaplan – TDS President, Atty. Jamea Garcia – BPAP, Rosanna Urdaneta – TESDA, Ma. Chonita Cejas – PMAP Cebu Chapter President, Boni Belen – CEDFIT and TDS executives.

After a very busy call center jobs funfair, the office blessing and inauguration was welcomed by a mesmerizing performance by Sinulog Dancers in the Bigfoot Center parking lot at 4pm. The second floor balcony leading to the TDS office entrance was filled with guests, TDS team members and special friends. To formally launch TDS in Cebu, the ribbon was cut by Jon Kaplan – TDS President, Nenette Mendoza – TDS Cebu Partner, Com. Monchito Ibrahim – CICT, Oscar Sañez – BPAP, while TDS executives and other VIP Guests look on. Following the blessing by Monsignor Roberto Alesna and lighting of candles came the tossing of gold coins and candies for luck and the champagne toast led by TDS President.

Everyone now proceeded to the Ballroom 1 of the Marriott Hotel for the cocktails at 6pm. Distinctive guests from partner call centers and non-industry people came to grace the happy occasion of celebrating the launch of TDS Cebu. Opening the program for the night were Manila-based beauties Ms Bambi Santos – TDS Director for Business Development and Ms Janet Jodloman – TDS Training Manager. They introduced the TDS big boss, with witty candor infused with love and respect.

Subsequent to the welcome address, the Cebu team and the Cebu partners were introduced. Speeches were made by Com. Mon Ibrahim of CICT, Oscar Sañez of BPAP, Jojo Uligan of CCAP and Boni Belen of CEDFIT. The night was a wonderful mingling of the industry’s who’s who and Cebu’s finest. The food was wonderful; wine was overflowing and lots of champagne toasting. And at the end of the night’s cocktail celebration, the biggest names in the local call center scene turn to TDS Manila for their needs and special requirements which will now be available in Cebu as well. TDS has now finally opened in CEBU.
