PARTY WHILE LOOKING FOR A JOB
As the school year ends and the start of the summer vacation fill the air, many graduates are thrust in the reality of looking for a job. These young, hyped and very eager to find work fillies now belong to the melee of the unemployed. But why are there still more than a couple of millions that are without work when the BPO and call center industry is continuously growing? Many have even crossed over industries, from telecommunications, banking, manufacturing and even legal or specialized industries such as engineering or medicine to get a taste of the BPO community.
Could it be that the regular job fairs where applicants go to submit their resumes have waned many hopes, especially when most of the time these jobseekers wait for a long time to be interviewed or tested and then sent home to wait for the verdict. All the while, the waiting time wastes their full day of just hanging around for interviews and tests. Or could it be that they try their luck in finding employment during daytime hours and will be given a night or shifting-hours job, which may be a first for them.
For the third year now, TeleDevelopment Services, Inc. has given a different type of a job fair where applicants can go get interviewed, tested and party the night away. Whether you get a job or not, you get to party and enjoy music, live band performances and free food and drinks. You can even earn extra cash when you bring friends along and they get hired on the spot. This unique job fair called “Jobs@Night2010” is held in the afternoon till midnight, so that applicants can feel the nocturnal lifestyle of the call center industry.
Now there are more opportunities in Jobs@Night2010 since there are openings for BPO/KPO career opportunities as well. If you’re a new graduate, unemployed, or just want to enjoy the party, come and experience TeleDevelopment’s Jobs@Night2010 on April 17, 2010 at the Prestige Parking Lot, ADB Avenue Ortigas Center Pasig City.
